Jinko Solar PV Panels – buildaroo.com

Posted under News by

Tali from buildaroo.com interviewed Anita from Jinko. Anita spoke about the solar PV panels manufactured by Jinko. Jinko perceives Obama’s policy promoting the solar industry as an opportunity to enter the US market. All aspects of Jinko’s PV manufacturing are currently oversees. Jinko’s solar manufacturing runs all the way from the ingots to the actual assembled panel. The ingots manufactured by Jinko are either a monocrystalline or polycrystalline technology. After manufacturing the ingots, they are cut into thin slices of 5-6 inches in order to manufacture the solar wafers which go onto the solar panel. Jinko offers a 25 year warranty for their product and, if there are issues with the product, they also provide service. Jinko expects their product’s power capacity to increase from 350 to 400 megawatts by the end of this year! Way to go Jinko. Check out the Jinko Solar website keep looking through our site for more videos on sustainable companies and products. For more videos like this check out www.buildaroo.com!

SOLRAD -solar innovative water heating solution to be used in various applications , ideal for pumping water , heating water , steam production , air conditioning , cooling and more. the SolRad system is a new, high capacity, Solar Thermal energy provider. SolRad can be efficient energy provider for the following applications: 1. Thermo Solar Water pumping high capacity stations based on cooperation with Indian & Israeli providers of Micro-turbines & water pumps, we deliver water pumping stations for all water pumping scale projects. the unique advantage of this solution is that the pumping stations do not need electricity supply; the stations do not need generators or grid electricity 2. Thermo Solar Air condition based on Thermal energy and Absorbtion Chillers in cooperation with absorbtion chillers producers, several projects of Thermo Solar air condition were submitted in Israel, in the city of Eilat and its suburbs. SolRad can offer Thermo solar air condition for hot countries 3. Thermo Solar solutions for cooling adressing the cold storage sector; examples: a project for dairy storaged products, 2’000sqm, at 7C degrees, is negotiated in Israel, a project for cold storage for 500 containers worth of harvested bananas in Bahamas 4. Thermo Solar low cost Desanilisation solutions now in discussions with thermal based desanalisation solutions providers in Israel and abroad to offer them the needed Thermal Energy for their projects. 5. Thermo Solar Micro turbines for

Why Design Now?: H20tel

Posted under News by

Why? Water is the primary energy source in the H2Otel, and because of this comprehensive use of water, it is expected to be named the first carbon-neutral hotel in the Netherlands. Hydropower is one of the worlds largest sources of renewable energy, and the H2Otel benefits from the relatively low operating costs and low-tech water management solutions associated with hydropower.

Solar Power Battery Charger Kit- Harbor Freight 1.5 watt

Posted under News by

Part 1 Click here for part 2: (READ MORE) www.youtube.com www.driverstorer.com DS tests the Harbor Freight 1.5 watt amorphous solar panel- solar battery charger kit. Chicago Electric Power Systems Article link: www.driverstorer.com For use with auto, marine, ATV, and other trickle charge applications Don’t forget to hit subscribe! DS briefly runs through a series of current and voltage tests on the Harbor Freight 1.5 amorphous watt solar battery charger kit. The harbor freight amorphous solar battery charger kit includes: *One mountable solar panel with hard plastic bezel measuring 14-3/4″ L x 6-1/2″ W x 7/8″ thick *Detachable vehicle adapter with activity LED (12V) *Documentation Formulas used to calculate the wattage from the solar panel: Variables: V=Voltage I=Current R= Resistance W= Watts V=IR (ohms law) (to double check calculations) W=(I^2) R (reads: (watts = current squared * resistance)) Current measured (100 ohm resistor in series) 25 — 35 mA Output wattage calculated in overcast skies (100 ohm resistor)= W@ 25mA= 0.0625 (62.5mW) W@ 35mA=0.1225 (122.5mW) W@ 120mA= 1.44 Assuming you reach the advertised max current from the solar panel of 120mA you seem to max out at 1.44 watts theoretically. This is close to the 1.5 watt rating of the solar panel, but slightly less. As a vehicle battery trickle charger, the Harbor Freight 1.5 watt amorphous solar panel- solar battery charger kit will work as advertised, however local conditions will always affect the efficiency

Eigg Electric – Renewable Energy for the Isle of Eigg

Posted under News by

With no mainland electricity connection, and after decades of using diesel generators, the people of community-owned Isle of Eigg switched on their own renewable electricity supply in February 2008. In a unique system, wind, water and sun provide 24 hour power for the island’s 85 residents. This ten minute film tells you how it happens! See www.islandsgoinggreen.org for more information.
